Thomas Manfred Müller

Executive Vice President, Volkswagen Group China Responsible for Research and Development

On July 1, 2019, Dr. Thomas Manfred Müller was appointed Executive Vice President of Volkswagen Group China Responsible for Group Research and Development China, and Member of the Board of Management.

Dr. Müller received a Ph.D. in Physics from Heidelberg University in April 1999. He has been working in the automobile industry for more than 20 years, with over 15 years of extensive China experience. In December 2016, Dr. Müller joined the Volkswagen Group as Head of the Electrics / Electronics & Car IT at AUDI AG in Germany. Before that, he worked at Volvo Car Group in Sweden for almost 5 years, and almost 13 years for the BMW Group in Germany.
