Topic: What it takes to be an Automotive OSAT
Abstract: The automotive semiconductor market is growing strongly with rising car sales and higher electronic content in each car. Automotive semiconductors have stable production volumes and provide higher returns on investment (ROI) with life cycles of more than 10 years. However, it is not an easy market to supply to. Requirements are continuously evolving and becoming increasingly challenging. For Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) companies, achieving automotive certifications and standards compliance is only the bare minimum requirement to participate in the automotive market. This presentation outlines what it takes for an OSAT to be a strong partner to semiconductor companies supplying to Automotive OEMs and Tier 1 manufacturers.
