Founder, Chairman & General Manager, MetaX

Mr. Chen is the founder, chairman, and GM of MetaX, who has more than 20 years of experience in global team management, leading-edge technology development, and mass production of world-class high-performance GPUs. As a former AMD veteran, Mr. Chen served as the global leader for several generations of high-performance GPU products. He had a track record of leading an innovative team to deliver several world-class high-performance GPU products end-to-end; from product definition to design, implementation, and mass production. Now under his leadership, MetaX has sustained rapid growth since its establishment. MetaX N100 GPU product series has been widely applied in various fields such as intelligent transportation and smart city governance. The second flagship product, MetaX C500, achieved mass production after a single tapeout; and such product series has also been applied in various application scenarios such as intelligent computing centers, general-purpose computing and data processing. MetaX C500 series has demonstrated and transformed its product advantages into market advantages, with multiple hundred-card and thousand-card clusters established across the country. In 2025, the third flagship product, MetaX C600, was successfully launched, taking the lead in achieving full-process domestic production of GPUs. This demonstrated his deep insight into industry trends and his forward-looking strategy in building a domestic supply chain. By the end of the same year, he led MetaX to its official listing on the STAR Market, making it the first GPU leading company in Shanghai to achieve an IPO. Since founded five years ago, MetaX has demonstrated strong capabilities to attract top talents, to build win-win partnerships with suppliers and customers, and to lead the industry growth. MetaX is now in a leading position in China's GPU industry.

Mr. Chen holds a Doctor's Degree in Electronics and Information Engineering, Tsinghua University, and is currently pursuing a DBA of University of La Verne. Mr. Chen has been recognized by the Chinese government at all levels with honors including "2021 Shanghai Industry Leading Talent", "2024 Pudong New Area Pearl Plan Leading Talents", "2024 Global Outstanding Talent" and "2025 Leading Talent in Tech Entrepreneurship". He also received the "China's AI Figure of Year 2025" award, jointly presented by the Shanghai Municipal Government and CCTV. He currently serves as a member of the Shanghai Committee of the CPPCC and as Vice Chairman of the "Computing Power + Medical Health" Working Group, which operates under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology for the development of the computing power industry.
